West Clandon is a small village of around 1,400 people in the borough of Guildford, a mile from the A3, with its own station on the line between Guildford and London Waterloo. Its best-known landmark is Clandon House, the Palladian mansion largely destroyed by fire in April 2015. For an airport run, the village’s closeness to the A3 is what counts: the A3 meets the M25 a few miles to the north, and Heathrow is 20.7 miles from Clandon station — about 30 minutes when measured.
This page covers airport transfers from West Clandon and neighbouring East Clandon, with the price agreed before you travel. Guildford is one of the seven authorities our drivers and vehicles are licensed by. For local journeys, see our West Clandon taxi services page and East Clandon taxi services page. Measured on 17 October 2026 from Clandon station (GU4 7TE), using the route and drive-time estimate Google Maps gave at the time.
| Airport | Distance | Typical drive | Main road |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heathrow | 20.7 miles | about 30 minutes | M25 |
| Gatwick | 30.5 miles | about 37 minutes | M25 |
Gatwick is ten miles further than Heathrow and about seven minutes longer — close enough that the airport your flight leaves from matters more than the drive. Luton, Stansted and London City are long M25 runs of an hour or more; the office will quote those from your door.
Clandon station has stopping trains towards London Waterloo and towards Guildford, and none of them serves an airport. Woking, the nearest main-line station, is about five miles away with no direct rail link from the village. For a flight, a pre-booked car from the door is the direct option.
Heathrow runs from West Clandon go north to the A3 and onto the M25, and the measured Gatwick route uses the M25 as well. Whatever the traffic does on the day, the price is agreed before you set off.

The full reasoning is on what decides the cost of a taxi.
Heathrow charges £7 for every entry into a terminal drop-off zone, at all four terminals, around the clock; Gatwick charges £10 for the first ten minutes, then £1 a minute up to twenty, with a £30 daily cap. Both are the airports’ charges, not ours. Blue Badge holders can claim a 100% discount at Heathrow if it is registered against the registration of the car carrying them, and are exempt at Gatwick. Current Heathrow terms are on Heathrow’s drop-off charge page.
Pay by card when you book, in cash to the driver, or on a monthly invoiced business account. There is no card terminal in the vehicle. Neighbouring routes: East Horsley, West Horsley, Ripley and Guildford to Heathrow; the full list is on the Heathrow airport transfers page.

We quote every journey before you travel rather than publishing a fare list, because the price depends on the hour, the vehicle your luggage needs, the terminal and whether it is a drop-off or a pick-up. Call 01372 747 747 or use the online booking form and you will have the figure before you commit.
