West Horsley is the smaller of the two Horsleys — a village of under three thousand people in the borough of Guildford, strung along the A246 with the M25 and the A3 a few minutes to the north. It has no station of its own; the nearest is Horsley, in East Horsley. That makes a car the obvious way to the airports, and the motorway makes it a quick one: Heathrow is 20.5 miles from The Street and the drive took about 29 minutes when measured.
This page covers airport transfers from West Horsley, with the price agreed before you travel. Guildford is one of the seven authorities our drivers and vehicles are licensed by. For local journeys in the village, see our West Horsley taxi page. Call 01372 747 747 or book online.
Measured on 17 October 2026 from The Street, West Horsley (KT24), using the route and drive-time estimate Google Maps gave at the time.
| Airport | Distance | Typical drive | Main road |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heathrow | 20.5 miles | about 29 minutes | M25 |
| Gatwick | 30.3 miles | about 36 minutes | M25 |
Those are the two nearest airports, and from here they are close in time: Gatwick is ten miles further than Heathrow and about seven minutes longer. For Luton, Stansted and London City the journeys are long M25 runs of roughly an hour or more; the measured figures from neighbouring Horsley station are on our East Horsley airport transfers page, and the office will quote yours from your door.
West Horsley is twice as far from Heathrow as Kingston upon Thames and took only a few minutes longer when both were measured — 29 minutes against 26 — because the village joins the M25 while Kingston uses the A308 along the river. Distance on its own says little about an airport run, which is why we quote each journey rather than publish a rate per mile.
West Horsley Place, the Grade I listed house on the edge of the village, is home to Grange Park Opera’s Theatre in the Woods, with a summer season each year. Performances finish late, so a pre-booked car with an agreed collection time and place is a sensible way to go — especially if you are coming from further afield or want to enjoy the interval without driving home. Book early in the season; the office will agree the drop-off and pick-up arrangements with you.
Clocktower Cars is a licensed private hire operator, so our cars cannot be hailed and do not wait on ranks. Every journey is booked through the office in advance, which is what lets us agree the price before the car moves. Our operator licence is held as Epsom & Ewell Cars T/A Clocktower Cars, with drivers and vehicles licensed across Epsom and Ewell, Reigate and Banstead, Mole Valley, Elmbridge, Guildford, Waverley and Transport for London.

Heathrow charges £7 for every entry into a terminal drop-off zone, at all four terminals, around the clock; Gatwick charges £10 for the first ten minutes, then £1 a minute up to twenty, with a £30 daily cap. Both are the airports’ charges, not ours. Blue Badge holders can claim a 100% discount at Heathrow if it is registered against the registration of the car carrying them, and are exempt at Gatwick. Current Heathrow terms are on Heathrow’s drop-off charge page.
Pay by card when you book, in cash to the driver, or on a monthly invoiced business account. There is no card terminal in the vehicle. Neighbouring routes: West Clandon to Heathrow and Ripley to Heathrow; the full list is on the Heathrow airport transfers page.

We quote every journey before you travel rather than publishing a fare list, because the price depends on the hour, the vehicle your luggage needs, the terminal and whether it is a drop-off or a pick-up.
